John and Rennie Schaufele - Senior Pastors
Pastors John and Rennie Schaufele have their roots in Southern Alberta, where they were both raised on farms near the community of Bow Island. Upon graduation from high school, John, sensing the call of God into full-time ministry, went on to complete a degree at Winnipeg Bible College (Providence College), while Rennie spent a couple of years as a student at Prairie Bible Institute here in Three Hills. They married in 1974, and began a family soon after. Within a few years, John achieved a Masters degree from Winnipeg Theological Seminary (Providence Theological Seminary). However, their steps were redirected back into the agricultural industry, where they remained for the next several years, initially as farmers and later venturing out into the commercial fertilizer business. During their years on the farm, John and Rennie were extensively involved in their local church in Bow Island, learning to serve in many different capacities, and finding great fulfillment in shepherding people through teaching and counseling. In 1993, in response to God’s call to embark upon a new adventure, John and Rennie relocated to Three Hills with their three children, to become full-time pastors, pioneering the Victory Church of Three Hills. In the years since, they have served the community on a variety of levels and have been blessed with a daughter-in-law, two son-in-laws, and nine grandchildren. Pastor John is also regional supervisor for the Three Hills, Airdrie, and Red Deer Victory Churches.
Ken Pratt - Elder
Ken has been a part of the Victory Church of Three Hills from its inception in 1993. Born and raised in a rural community approximately 120 miles East of Three Hills, Ken married his high school sweetheart, Gisela, in 1967. The couple continued to farm for the next twenty-five years, welcoming five children along the way. Although heavily involved in a local church for his entire adult life, Ken never learned that he needed to make a personal decision to receive Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior until he was nearly forty years old. This radical revelation brought him to a new place in his journey, and gradually God began to redirect his steps. In 1990, Ken and Gisela sold their farm and moved to Three Hills, where a variety of new opportunities awaited them. Over the years, their brood has grown to include four son-in-laws and eleven grandchildren. Ken and Gisela have thoroughly enjoyed making their home in this community and equally enjoy helping to make others feel welcome!
